
NEW DELHI, August 12, 2025 – Shri Devender Yadav, President of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, paid heartfelt tribute to his late father, Pradhan Mahendra Yadav, on his 9th death anniversary at Main Chowk, Samaypur today. Alongside, he also honored the memories of his grandfather, late Nyodar Yadav, and his mother, late Ganga Devi, by offering floral wreaths at their statues.
The commemorative event began with a sacred ‘Havan Puja’ followed by a communal meal, known as ‘Bhandara’. Devender Yadav was accompanied by his brother Gajendra Yadav, other family members, and a large gathering of local residents, political leaders, party workers, and supporters.
Among the dignitaries present were All India Congress Committee treasurer Ajay Maken, former DPCC presidents Jai Prakash Agarwal and Ch Anil Kumar, senior leaders including Jagdish Tytler, Krishna Tirath, Ramesh Kumar, Sukhwinder Singh Danny, Haroon Yusuf, and many others from various political and social backgrounds.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Devender Yadav reflected on the enduring legacy of his father, who devoted his life to social welfare and served as a Municipal Councillor, earning the respect and support of the community. He emphasized that Pradhan Mahendra Yadav’s work was rooted in uplifting the poor and marginalized without any bias.
He further committed to carrying forward his father’s mission, saying, “We are dedicated to following the path laid by Pradhan Mahendra Yadav Ji to support the underprivileged. The legacy of selfless service is our guiding light, and we will continue to work tirelessly for the welfare of the poor, backward classes, and SC students by supporting their education and scholarships.”
