NEW DELHI, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Shri Devender Yadav today visited Tis Hazari Court to meet with lawyers on strike, expressing full support for their cause. He emphasized that allowing police officers to testify via video conferencing could undermine the judicial process and compromise justice.
The meeting was organized by Advocate Sunil Kumar, Chairman of the Legal and Human Rights Department, Delhi Congress, along with his team. Key party members and legal representatives, including Shri Anil Bhardwaj, Trilok Chaudhary, and several senior advocates, were present.
Shri Yadav has formally written to the Lieutenant Governor, urging the immediate withdrawal of the Delhi Government’s order dated August 13, 2025, which permits remote deposition of police officers. Highlighting the unity and dedication of lawyers across the country, he criticized the government’s dual approach and assured that Congress will unconditionally back the lawyers’ legitimate demands.
“Congress stands firmly with the lawyers in their fight for justice and fairness,” Shri Devender Yadav said.
