On the 6th death anniversary of former Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Sheila Dikshit, Delhi Congress leaders, led by DPCC President Shri Devender Yadav, gathered to pay heartfelt floral tributes at the DPCC headquarters. Among those present were her son and ex-MP Sandeep Dikshit, daughter Latika Dikshit, and several senior Congress leaders and workers.
🎙️ Devender Yadav Remembers a Golden Era
Addressing the gathering, Shri Devender Yadav reflected on Sheila Dikshit’s unmatched contribution to Delhi’s transformation. “The metro network, CNG public transport, clean flyovers, world-class hospitals, modern schools, and a city bursting with green spaces—all of this was Sheila ji’s gift to Delhi,” he said.
But he didn’t hold back on criticism either.
⚠️ “Progress Stalled. Promises Betrayed.” – Devender Yadav
He accused both the AAP and BJP governments of dismantling the schemes aimed at slum dwellers, Dalits, minorities, street vendors, and the urban poor. “The development Delhi once saw has now been reduced to false promises, crumbling infrastructure, and rising inequality,” he added.
🛑 From Metro Expansion to Marginalized Voices—All Ignored
Yadav condemned the current BJP government led by Rekha Gupta for failing on major issues:
❌ Yamuna still polluted
❌ Women still unsafe
❌ Youth still unemployed
❌ Dalits still unheard
❌ Air and water pollution out of control
🔍 Allegations of Scam Under AAP Rule
He further exposed the Rs. 145 crore scam related to coaching funds meant for Dalit and minority students—calling it a “betrayal of trust and a crime against the underprivileged.”
🌹 “Real Tribute Lies in Action”
Ending on a powerful note, Yadav said, “The best way to honour Sheila Dikshit’s legacy is by holding today’s governments accountable and reviving the inclusive, people-first governance she stood for.” 🧾 #JusticeForDelhi | #SheilaDikshitLegacy | #DelhiDeservesBetter
