New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) Terming the Hospital fire incident in Rajkot, Gujarat “shocking”, the Supreme Court on Friday took suo motu cognisance of the incident and sought response from the state government.
As many as five coronavirus patients were charred to death and six others injured in the fire that broke out in a Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital at 1230 hrs.
A three-judge Bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, R Subhash Reddy and MR Shah said that recurrence of such fire accidents needs thorough introspection. The Top Court will again hear the matter on December 1.
