118 new health institutions approved : Tope

Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Tuesday said that the decision has been taken for creating 118 new public health institutions in rural areas of the state and 2200 posts would be created for manning these institutions.

In his official statement he stated that the creation of 812 regular posts for these health institutions would be done along with 1184 slots for skilled manpower services, 226 unskilled manpower services and a total of 2222 posts will be available to help provide more quality health services to the people in rural areas.



Meanwhile, the construction of health institutions is 75 percent complete, he said.

Also, the required posts for the health institutions like Sub-Center, Primary Health Center, Rural Hospital, Sub-District Hospital, District Hospital and Trauma Care Unit have been fixed.



In order to provide patient services, approval has been given to create posts in these hospitals as per the diagram and a government decision in this regard has also been announced.



355 posts have been sanctioned for the new district hospital at Palghar, he said.



47 new substations have been set up in rural areas of Satara, Aurangabad, Buldhana, Nagpur, Ahmednagar, Jalna, Nandurbar, Gondia, Wardha, Yavatmal, Solapur, Osmanabad, Palghar, Chandrapur and Pune districts, the statement added.
