2 days National Convention entitled “Natural Farming- Modern Technology; Coordination and implementation” is being organised by Student Welfare Trust, Bhopal and Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi on 20-21 May 2022 at NASC Complex, ICAR Pusa, New Delhi. Various themes of the convention are based on farm sustainability and Natural Farming. Poster of the convention was released by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor SKUAST-JAMMU Prof. J.P. Sharma along with Agrivision State Incharge Dr. Arti Sharma, Agrivision State Convenor Sourav Manhas, NEC Member Radheyshyam Kumawat, Unit Media incharge Manjot Singh.
Speaking on this occasion Prof. J.P Sharma pull back the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi speech on Independence Day in 2019 wherein he said that fertilizer and pesticides are damaging the health of soil.
“Government of India through its cabinet decision has taken up strong initiative for the promotion of natural farming in the country” he added. Talking about current status Prof. Sharma informed that at present 11 states in India are practicing natural farming covering 6.5 lac hectares area.
On this occasion Dr. R. K Salgotra Head School of Biotechnology, Dr. Rakesh Sharma Asst. Professor, Dr. Puneet Choudhary, Megha abrol, Meghal, Tanvi Choudhary, Shivalika and Prajwal Kotwal were also present.
