70 new corona cases in UP, 155 recovers

Lucknow, Jul 20 (UNI) A total of 70 new cases of corona infection have been reported in Uttar Pradesh during the last 24 hours, while 155 infected persons have been discharged after successful treatment, said state additional chief secretary information Navneet Sehgal here on Tuesday.

At present, the number of active cases of corona infection in the state is 1,093. In the last 24 hours, 2,36,546 Covid tests were conducted in the state. So far, a total of 6,28,26,817 corona tests have been done in the state. The recovery rate of corona infection in the state is 98.6 percent.

The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who was reviewing the Corona situation in the state on Tuesday said that due to the active efforts of the State Government, the corona epidemic has been effectively controlled. It was informed in the meeting that there is not a single patient of Covid in Shravasti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Mahoba, Lalitpur, Hathras and Aligarh districts. These district is free from corona infection.

No new cases of corona infection have been found in 41 districts, while in 33 districts fresh patients were in single digit.

It was informed in the meeting that more than 98 lakh vaccine doses have been given so far in the month of July. So far, more than 4,10,51,000 vaccine doses have been given in the state.

The Chief Minister said that in view of the possibility of third wave of Covid, all arrangements should be kept effective. Adequate availability of all necessary medical equipment such as BIPAPA machine, mobile X-ray etc. and human resources should be ensured in medical colleges and hospitals.

He said that during the Corona period, there have been complaints of financial exploitation of patients by some private hospitals, which is not good. Action has been taken in many such cases. He said that taking cognizance of each such complaint, investigation should be done and if found guilty, strict action should be taken against the concerned hospital.
