AP CM, Naidu pay tributes to Prakasam Pantulu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and Telugu Desam Party national president and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu paid floral tributes to freedom fighter and the first Chief Minister of Andhra State Andhra Kesari Tangaturi Prakasam Panthulu, on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary.

The Chief Minister placed flowers at the portrait of Prakasham Pantulu and paid tributes in the camp office at Tadepallai near here on Monday. Deputy Chief Minister Dharmana Krishna Das was present on the occasion.

TDP National President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday paid rich tributes and recalled the supreme sacrifices made by Andhra Kesari Tanguturi Prakasam Panthulu on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary.

In a statement here, Mr Naidu said that Prakasam Panthulu was still remembered for unparalleled courage and unquestioned patriotism that he displayed during the independence struggle.

Mr Naidu said Panthulu showed a rare fighting spirit to oppose any power however mighty that might be for the sake of standing for his ideals, honesty and beliefs.

The TDP chief asserted that Andhra Kesari would always be remembered as a symbol of the Telugu people’s pride, valour and patriotism.
