Arunachal continues to witness spike in Covid-19 cases, tally mounts to 4212

Itanagar, Sep 2 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh continued to witness spike in Covid-19 cases with detection of 100 new infections, taking the state’s tally to 4212.On the other hand, 94 Covid-19 patients were discharged following their recovery from the virus.

Out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC) reported 35, Papum Pare 14, Changlang 10, East Kameng seven and East Siang six, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS).

While West Kameng, Tawang and Anjaw reported five cases each, Upper Siang four, Tirap three, one each reported from Lower Siang, Lower Dibang Valley, West Siang, Kra Daadi, Kurung Kumey and Lohit.

Of the 35 cases from ICC, nine reported from TRIHMS, Naharlagun, nine detected at Banderdewa check gate, seven from paid quarantine testing centre here, four from CCC-SOA here, one from SQF , Lekhi , two from RKM Hospital here, two detected from Kurung Kumey check gate and one from Kra Daadi check gate.

Six among the 14 cases from Papum Pare were detected from Kimin check gate, five from Gumto check gate and three from Hollongi check gate. Out of the 10 cases from Changlang , six are returnees from Agartala, three are CRPF personnel and one is Assam Rifle personnel.

All the cases from Anjaw are GREF personnel and primary contacts of positive case detected earlier.Barring 16, all the patients are asymptomatic.

According to the bulletin issued by the DHS last night, of the 94 discharged, 23 were from Tawang, 22 from West Kameng, 14 from ICC, eight from West Siang, seven from Upper Subansiri, six from East Siang, five from Changlang, four from East Kameng, two from Tirap and one each from Kamle , Lower Siang and Anjaw.

The recovery rate is 70.72 percent as 2979 patients have been discharged so far.Total active cases in the state stands at 1226 while seven fatalities reported.
