Body of teenager fished out from river after 6 days in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 27 (UNI) Body of a teenager, who drowned in the river Jhelum in the downtown Srinagar on May 21 was fished out on Thursday, official sources said.
They said 17-year-old Moomin Ahmad Dar, a resident of Chattabal, suddenly slipped and drowned in the river at Veer Chattabal in the down town on May 21.
A massive search operation was launched by locals, police and other experts, they said adding the body could not be retrieved.
However, the body was spotted by locals at Guzarbal Noorbagh area today. It was retrieved and handed over to his family members after local and other formalities.
