Aiming to protect children from the COVID-19 infection, on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, pediatric beds with all the resources will start working as ‘Raksha Kavach’ in hospitals of every district of the state.

CM Yogi is in constant touch with the experts and doctors. Instructions have been issued to make all possible preparations to fight against this disease in all the districts and villages. CM Yogi also said that the Department of Medical Education has experience of setting up ‘PICU’ in BRD Medical College and KGMU. Also, the Health Department has established PICU in several districts of the state affected by encephalitis. “Taking the benefit of this experience, paediatricians, technicians, paramedical staff of all district hospitals and medical colleges should be trained. Training of Asha workers and Anganwadi workers should also be done in a phased manner.
Taking cognizance of the preparations for setting up an *oxygen plant* in the state, the Chief Minister said that a government order has been issued regarding setting up of oxygen plants in private medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh. Interested institutions will be given all necessary incentives from the government.
