COVID-19 : Kangra registers 130 more cases

Dharamshala, Jun 7 : The Kangra district on Monday registered 130 more cases of COVID-19 while four patients succumbed to the virus.
The dead included two females and two males, all of them being senior citizens.
With the addition of these new fatalities, the district’s death toll has risen to 983. Addition of the 130 new cases pushes the district’s overall case load to 44614.
Chief Medical Officer Kangra Dr. Gurdharshan Gupta told UNI that all the 130 fresh cases who have tested positive today have been isolated as per the protocol.
He said one death was reported from Tanda Medical College, one person died in Military Hospital at Yol and two died in home isolation.
CMO said that there was decline in the number of active cases to 1730 on Monday from 1983 on Sunday. The CMO added that there were 373 recoveries during the past 24 hours, pushing the number of recovered
patients to 41897 today from 42524 yesterday.
