Caxias do Sul (Brazil), May 6 : India’s Vedika Sharma won the bronze medal in 10m air rifle women’s event and her compatriot Pranjali Dhumal finished fourth with a score of 189.1 on Day-5 of the Deaflympics. India currently stands eighth in the medal table. Ukraine continued to be on top with 24 gold, 9 silver and 13 bronze medals. Vedika shot 207.2 in the final to finish third on Thursday. Inna Afonchenko of Ukraine took gold and South Korea’s Ya‐Ju Kao bagged the silver. In the qualification, she finished eighth with a score of 538.0 while her compatriot Pranjali was placed on top with a score of 561.0. Vedika’s bronze medal win took India’s tally to four medals ( 2 golds and as many bronze).
