Dispose of Mathura case quickly: Allahabad HC

Prayagraj, May 12 : The Allahabad High Court on Thursday directed the Sessions Court in Mathura to dispose of an application related to Bhagwan Shri Krishna Virajman and another versus the Sunni Central Waqf Board and three others in four months. Justice Salil Kumar Rai said: “The Civil Judge, Mathura, is directed to decide the aforesaid applications expeditiously, preferably within four months from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before him and after giving an opportunity of hearing to the affected parties, in case there is no legal impediment.” One Manish Yadav, claiming himself to be a descendent of Lord Krishna, has filed an application in the court of Civil Judge and stated that 13.37 acre land belongs to Bhagwan Shri Krishna Virajman in Mathura. He claimed that around 1.45 acre of land had been encroached by the Eidgah. The petitioner stated that the case was pending in the court of the Civil Judge since December 2020 and the representative of the Sunni Central Waqf Board has not appeared even once.
