Panaji, May 1 (UNI) Goa reported 2303 new cases of Covid 19 and 54 deaths during the last 24 hours.
According to daily bulletin issued by Directorate of Health Services (DHS), with the new cases, number of total confirmed cases in the state shot up to 93,355 while number of total deaths increased to 1222.
There were 1310 recoveries during the last 24 hours which took the number of total recoveries in the state to 68,249.
Recovery rate in the state dropped to 73.10 per cent from 73.52 per cent recorded on April 30, 2021.
On Saturday, 2799 new patients were sent for home isolation while 225 were admitted to hospitals.
As many as 5897 new samples were tested on Saturday taking the number of total samples tested so far to 6,58,713.
The number of active cases in the state increased to 23,884.
