Panaji, May 7 (UNI) Goa reported 4195 new cases of Covid 19 and 56 deaths during the last 24 hours. According to daily bulletin issued by Directorate of Health Services (DHS), with the new cases, number of total confirmed cases in the state increased to 1,12,462 while number of total deaths shot up to 1557.
There were 2175 recoveries during the last 24 hours which took the number of total recoveries in the state to 79,189. Recovery rate in the state dropped to 70.41 per cent.
On Friday, 3606 new patients were sent for home isolation, 296 were admitted to hospitals while 194 were discharged. As many as 8170 new samples were tested on Friday taking the number of total samples tested so far to 6,98,529.
The number of active cases in the state increased to 31,716.
