Govt shuts Zoological, National Parks Tiger reserves & Wildlife sanctuaries

Hyderabad, May 1 (UNI) In view of rapid spread of SARS Cov-2 in the country, the Union Ministry of Environment Forests and Climate Change, New Delhi has issued an advisory to close all the Zoological Parks, National Parks, Tiger Reserves and Wildlife Sanctuaries for visitors till further orders to control the spread of the COVID – 19 pandemic.

Accordingly, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF)& Chief Wildlife Warden, Telangana has issued orders to close the Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, Kakatiya Zoological Park, Warangal, Kawal and Amrabad Tiger Reserves, all National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries in the state of Telangana with immediate effect as a precautionary measure to prevent spread of virus among Wildlife.

Hence, all the above-mentioned facilities including Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad shall remain closed for visitors from May 2 until further orders, a release here said on Saturday.
