HIMFED to sell Ambuja, Ultra Tech Cement

Shimla, June 28 : The Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Marketing and Consumers’ Federation Ltd (HIMFED) on Monday decided to sold Ambuja and Ultra Tech Cement.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the Board of Directors of HIMFED here. Managing Director of HIMFED Gyan Sagar Negi and its Director, along with the Board Members, approved various agenda of the federation, said Vice-President of HIMFED Rakesh Verma.
He said in the coming days, Ambuja and UltraTech Cement will also be sold in HIMFED godowns, which will facilitate people in far-flung areas to buy cement.
HIMFED will set up petrol pumps at Kala Amb and Gadamora (Bilaspur) in the coming days, which will not only help in the activities of HIMFED, but will also be successful in mobilising additional resources, added Verma.
As per the HIMFED VP, natural farming was being promoted by the Central and state governments. Under this, bio-fertilisers will also be made available in HIMFED’s godowns in the coming days, so that the local people can reduce their dependence on chemical fertilisers.
The benefit of notification of increased pay scale to daily wage earners by the state government would also be given to the employees of HIMFED. For the convenience of horticulturists and farmers, it was decided to set up an after-sales service center at Savda at a cost of Rs eight lakh. HIMFED also decided to open a store at Jathia Devi, Shimla, he added.
HIMFED Chairman Ganesh Dutt directed that collection centers opened in apple season should be started well in time, so that the local gardeners do not face any kind of problem.
