HP: 20 applications under Mukhya Mantri Swavalamban Yojana approved

Hamirpur, Oct 12 : As part of Himachal Pradesh Mukhya Mantri Swavalamban Yojana, the district-level committee meeting held on Tuesday has approved 20 new applications, of which 18 were sent to banks for giving loans to young entrepreneurs.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Debashweta Banik said, “An investment of about Rs 2.10 crore was proposed for setting up industries and about 60 people will be given employment. A subsidy of about Rs 44 lakh will be given by the government for these industries.”
Banik urged the youth to set up enterprises under the scheme and said, “Under this scheme, enterprises costing up to Rs one crore can be approved, in which 25 percent will be given to the male entrepreneurs on machinery up to Rs 60 lakh, a grant of 30 percent will be given to women entrepreneurs and 35 percent to widow entrepreneurs.”
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner also directed the bank officials to sanction loans to the applicants of Mukhya Mantri Swavalamban Yojana expeditiously.
Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, General Manager, Industries Department, said, “Himachali people of 18-45 age group are eligible for the Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojana.”
