Hamirpur(HP), Sept 16 : Union Information-cum-Broadcasting Minister, Anurag Thakur on Thursday directed the officers that the information about various departmental schemes sponsored by the Central and State Governments should be ensured to reach every person on priority so that eligible persons can get the benefits of these schemes.
While presiding over the virtual meeting of District Development, Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) on Thursday, Thakur said that due to lack of awareness, eligible people are often deprived of the benefits of government schemes.
The minister directed the officers to give wide publicity to all the schemes of the government at the village level. For this, the officials should prepare publicity material and take it to the villages. In this publicity material, along with the information related to the schemes, the process to take advantage of it should also be told in simple words.
He said that all the departmental officers should bring complete data of the decisions of the previous meetings and the action taken in relation to the guidelines in every meeting of the Disha, so that the implementation of these decisions can be reviewed.
While reviewing the plans related to health department, Thakur directed the officials of Medical College Hamirpur to complete the process of setting up new CT scan machines at the earliest and apprise them of the action taken. He also asked to speed up the TB-free campaign in the district and speed up the identification and treatment of people suffering from TB.
The Union Minister said that all the officers and employees of the district have done commendable work during the Corona crisis. For this all the officers and employees deserve congratulations. He said that the work of applying the second dose of anti-corona virus vaccination in the district should also be completed with the same speed so that all the people could get a protective cover.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Debasweta Banik assured the Union Minister regarding various issues related to direction and implementation of government schemes that all the guidelines given by him would be strictly followed and all the schemes at the departmental level would be implemented regularly.
In the meeting, ADM Jitendra Sanjata and officials of the concerned departments connected through virtual medium and gave detailed information about the schemes related to their respective departments to the Union Minister.
The schemes of departments like Health, Electricity Board, Women and Child Development, Jal Shakti, Public Works, Education, Industry, Mining, Food Supply, Social Justice and Empowerment, Agriculture, Revenue, Planning and Rural Development etc. were reviewed.
