On the occasion of 22nd Kargil Vijay Diwas, NCC Cadets of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Directorate reached out to 28 families of Kargil War Heroes from Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions.
The heavy rains could not deter the NCC Cadets from physically going to the homes of Kargil War Heroes spread across Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Jammu, Samba, Kathua and Leh.
Maj Gen Ranjan Mahanjan, SM, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh also interacted with the families of Kargil War Heros online. He recollected the supreme sacrifices made by the Kargil War Heroes and expressed deep gratitude to the families for their sacrifices. He also inquired about their wellbeing and if they are facing with any problems and require any assistance. He further assured them that they will be taken care of.
The families of Kargil War Heroes were presented with a memento on behalf of JK&L NCC Directorate. Families too expressed their happiness over NCC Cadets visit to their homes.
