Kerala Cabinet decides to extend digital resurvey programme in 1,550 villages

Kerala Cabinet on Tuesday decided to extend digital resurvey programme in 1,550 more villages in the State.
The programme will be completed in four stages with a total fund allocation of Rs 807.98 crore. Rs 339.438 crore has been sanctioned for completing the first stage by including it under KIIFB.
The Cabinet decided to acquire 955.13 hectare land for the proposed semi high speed railway line between Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod.
The Cabinet also decided to provide Rs 2.5 lakh each to the parent of Praveen Nair who died in a hotel in Nepal after inhaling poisonous gas. The son of another couple, Ranjith and Indulakshmi who also died in the same incident, will be given Rs 10 lakh as compensation.
