Kitpal panchayat takes up responsibility to clean water sources during corona period

Hamirpur (HP), Jun 4 (UNI) People of the Kitpal gram panchayat of the Nadaun block of the district have taken up responsibilities of cleaning the natural drinking water sources of the area at a time when people of all parts of India are facing the wrath of the COVID.

They have started this campaign to keep their villages and surrounding areas neat and clean so that no one could come in grip of the virus that had become a major pandemic all over the World in general and the Hamirpur district in particular.
Under the leadership of Sunil Dhiman, the young Up-Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Kitpal, the local villagers cleaned the ancient deep well in Niale village. During this, along with the youth, the local women also gave full cooperation.

A well is an excavation or structure created in the ground by digging, driving, or drilling. Deeper wells can be excavated by hand drilling methods or machine drilling, using a bit in a borehole.

In general, when it comes to water quality and well depth, there’s one golden rule: the deeper the well, the better the water quality. As you go deeper down, there’s a higher chance that the water you the encounter will be rich in minerals.

Sunil Dhiman says that natural drinking water sources are a better means of drinking water in every season. Water-borne diseases are often prone to flourish during the summer season. In such a situation, it is absolutely necessary to clean these sources regularly, he adds.

He claimed that in this work, local youth Nikesh, Rajesh, Ashwani, Sanjana, and other women gave their invaluable support to the gram panchayat in this work.

He also says that in this era of Covid-19 epidemic, the health department including the government and administration has an important responsibility of taking care of the infected people.

He said that the work of sanitization was also being done in all villages of the gram panchayat. In order to keep the villages clean at their level, a sanitization campaign was also conducted in the past.

He has also urged everyone to ensure compliance with the COVID-19 guidelines by wearing face masks, maintain proper distance in public places, wash hands frequently and participate in the COVID-19 vaccination program on large scale.
