Man dies in scuffle over land dispute in Baramulla, four accused arrested

Srinagar, May 25 (UNI) A man died during a scuffle over land dispute in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, where police has arrested four accused, including a girl, allegedly involved in the incident. Official sources said that two parties entered into a heated argument over a land dispute at Chakloo Baramulla on Tuesday. “The heated argument escalated into a scuffle during which one person, identified as Ghulam Din Gazi, was critically injured,”.

They said the injured was immediately taken to Government Medical College (GMC), Baramulla, from where he was referred to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura. “Gazi later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital,” they said.

They said four people — identified as Ali Mohammad Changa, Jan Mohammad Changa, Ayaz Ahmad Changa and Ulfat – were taken into custody while a tractor was seized from the crime scene. “A manhunt has been launched to nab one more accused,” they said, adding that police has registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident.
