Haryana minster Manohar Lal Khattar tested positive for coronavirus

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar has been tested positive for coronavirus. The CM tweeted to confirm that he has tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday. He appealed to all his colleagues and others who came in contact with him in the last few days.

“I was tested for Novel Corona Virus today. My test report has returned positive. I appeal to all colleagues and associates who came in my contact over the last week to get themselves tested. I request my close contacts to move into strict quarantine immediately,” tweeted Khattar.

Last week, Khattar decided to self isolate himself after Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Jal Shakti Minister tested positive for coronavirus. The Haryana Chief Minister had attended a meeting with Shekhawat to discuss Sutlej-Yamuna link canal issue.

Many political personalities across the party lines have been affected by the dreadful novel virus. Though several have recovered from the infection but many are still recuperating.

Prior, Union ministers Amit Shah, Shripad Naik, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Kailash Chaudhary and few others tested positive for coronavirus.Besides, these central ministers, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa were also infected with the coronavirus.

S Siddaramaiah, a Senior Congress leader and his son had also tested positive for coronavirus. 

Naresh Gujral,Shiromani Akali Dal MP, BJP leaders Jyotiraditya Scindia and Sambit Patra were also found to be coronavirus infected.

India’s coronavirus cases tally has crossed  31-lakh mark on Monday. The country recorded shows a single day spike of 61,408 cases. According to the union ministry of health and family welfare, caseload mounted to 31,06,348, while the death toll climbed to 57,542.

According to the Centres, The coronavirus case fatality rate has declined to 1.85%, while the recovery rate has rose up to 75.27%. The health ministry asserted that more than 70 of the deaths occurred due to comorbidities.
