New Delhi, Oct 8 (UNI) The National Flag on Friday will be flown half mast in respect of Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan who passed away here on Thursday evening.

According to a statement issued by the Union Home Ministry, the National Flag will be flown half mast on October 9 in Delhi and Union Territories where it is regularly flown and also on the day of the funeral at the place where it will take place.

It has also been decided that the State Funeral will be accorded to the departed leader, the Ministry statement further said.

The Lok Jan Shakti Party founding leader, Paswan, died after a prolonged illness at Fortis Hospital here. He had undergone a heart surgery on October 4 following some complications.
