Road Infrastructure Top Priority in Faridabad: Sudhir Rajpal

Faridabad, April 7: Development work on Faridabad roads will be undertaken in full swing to offer ease of commute and travel to the residents of the city. Sh. Sudhir Rajpal, Chief Executive Officer, Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA) in a meeting held at the FMDA office took stock of the various projects in the pipeline and issued directions for quick action on them. Involved in the discussion were Additional CEO, FMDA, Dr Garima Mittal and other team members.

Among the various initiatives discussed for improving infrastructure and civic amenities in the city, construction and repair of roads were a top agenda.

In a bid to kick-start the restructuring of the existing infrastructure, FMDA Chief visited the site of construction of Sector 11/12, & sector 15/16 road. These roads which were closed for reconstruction work, were causing inconvenience to local residents and commuters. Action was taken on priority to ease traffic movement in these areas. The half-closed side of Sector 11/12 of roads leading towards Town Park were opened temporarily to enable light traffic flow. Furthermore, the closed portion of the sector 15/16 road will be also be temporarily opened for traffic moving from sector 11 road and heading towards the national highway. 

Directions were given to carryout work on day and night basis with additional manpower and machinery so that good quality road facilities could be given to the public at the earliest.

Further directions were issued by the FMDA Chief to expedite the estimation and tendering process to take up the work of other master roads on priority basis.
