Singareni to start its production in new projects at Odisha this year to achieve targes

Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) would begin its production in the new projects GDK-5 open cast and Naini project at Odisha this year.
Addressing after hoisting the National flag at the 75 Independence day celebrations at Singareni Bhavan here on Sunday, SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N.Sridhar said that Singareni is surging ahead with renewed enthusiasm for the coming 8 months to set targets and create history by achieving 700 Lakh tons of coal production and transport.
This year, the Mining company would also start additional 5 million tons of production from JVR OC-2 at Sattupalli, and we are ready to take up new coal blocks at other states, he said that Singareni in the first four months of this financial year achieved 90 percent growth in turnover, 72 percent growth in transport and 65 percent growth in production when compared to the same time last year.
In the same period last year, there were losses of Rs. 300 crores whereas this year the profits are more than 800 crores, he informed.
In the coming times, we have to rededicate ourselves to the country’s service through coal production, thermal and solar power generation, he said to meet the needs of the county, private organizations will also mine and sell coal, and to overcome this competitive situation, Singareni has to sustain and go forward, he said.
Steps like starting of new mines, business expansion, quality improvement, ease of doing business, reduction of production expenses are being taken up and the cooperation of the workers and officials and workers unions is required, he said
He said that in this competitive environment, we have to face the problem and take advantage of the opportunities and for this , the workers and officials have to give maximum importance to production with quality control.
He said that even in the difficult corona times for the past one year Singareni has spent almost Rs. 72 chores for rapid tests, vaccination and medical services. It has set up oxygen plants at 5 places on its own.
On the occasion of Azadi Ki Amrit Mahotsav and Independence day celebrations Officers and staff of Singareni Bhavan exhibited the pictures of 75 freedom fighters.
Earlier on the occasion, Hyderabad resident medical officer Dr. Balakotaiah was felicitated and handed over appreciation certificate for his outstanding services during the Corona time .
