SKUAST-Jammu to organise NCW sponsored trainings for women

Division of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, SKUAST- Jammu, R.S. Pura is going to organize twelve numbers of (5 days each) training programmes in the financial year 2022-23 for empowering rural women through trainings and capacity building in livestock farming.
Prof. J. P. Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu apprised the media that these trainings are sponsored by National Commission for Women (NCW), Govt. of India, New Delhi under their capacity building programmes. In each training, 30 selected farm women engaged in
livestock rearing/handling activities, aged between 18-50 years with minimally literate (5 th pass or above) will be provided hands on training on livestock farming with practical exposure.
