Special tourist train to run Agartala-Goa on Sept 30

Agartala, Aug 12 : Amid the Covid pandemic, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) have announced a Pilgrim Special Tourist Train for Goa starting from Agartala to facilitate the travellers of the state to the paradise of India’s west coast.

The maiden train with 15 sleepers and 3 Tier AC coaches is scheduled to originate from Agartala Railway Station on September 30 next and en-route stoppages at Badarpur, Guwahati, New Bongaigaon, New Cooch Behar, New Jalpaiguri and Malda to allow boarding and deboarding of passengers.

The IRCTC officials here said the package trip named Vibrant GOA will be 11 nights/ 12 days from Agartala and passengers from Guwahati will also be able to the trip. Along with confirmed train reservations in the opted class, passengers will be provided with tasty vegetarian meals with package drinking water bottles.

At Goa, land transportation by coaches, hall dormitories, accommodation for Sleeper class and hotel accommodation for AC 3-Tire passengers will be provided on a sharing basis. Besides, onboard security, travel guides and escorts will also be provided throughout the tour to assist the passengers.

To meet the demand for any medical attention during the trip, a medical team will also be available throughout the trip. The fare for availing of the inclusive trip has been kept at Rs 11,340 per person in Sleeper class and Rs. 18,900 per person at AC -3 Tier class.
