Srinagar, Mar 30 (UNI) on Tuesday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for praying for the speedy recovery of his father and National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah, who tested positive for COVID-19.
Farooq Abdullah, who is a sitting Member of Parliament (MP) from Srinagar, was tested positive for COVID-19, weeks after he got first dose of Coronavirus vaccine in a Srinagar hospital.
“My father & the rest of the family join me in thanking you for your wishes & prayers @narendramodi ji,” Omar wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Mr Omar was responding to a tweet by PM Modi, which read, “Praying for the good health and speedy recovery of Dr. Farooq Abdullah Ji. Also praying for your and the entire family’s good health.”
“My father has tested positive for COVID-19 & is showing some symptoms. I will be self-isolating along with other family members until we get ourselves tested. I request anyone who has come in to contact with us over the last few days to take all the mandated precautions,” Omar Abdullah had tweeted earlier in the day.
