In continuation to celebration of ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’, NSS wing of SKUAST-Jammu, under the able guidance of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor SKUAST-Jammu Prof J.P.Sharma and Dean Students Welfare Prof. Rajesh Katoch, Celebrated ‘National Science Day 2022’ to commemorate the discovery of raman effect of Great Scientist of Modern India Dr C V Raman the first Noble prize winner in the field of Physics in Asia . On the occasion Prof. Rajesh Katoch delivered a lecture on the importance of celebration of Science day and delivered a lecture on the endoparasites of human beings. Prof. Katoch emphasized the dissemination of science and make people to adopt scientific methods of day to day use in every walk of life. On the occasion a quiz and painting competition was also organised on the theme ‘Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future’ in which student s took part with great enthusiasm. Many Students took part in painting competitions and six teams participated in quiz. NSS Instructors Dr. Balbir Dhotra and Dr. Nomita Laishram, Dr Arvinder Singh, Dr R Punia. A student interaction session was also organised in which students’ participated with great enthusiasm. The programme was organised for NSS volunteers as a part of series of activities. The programme was coordinated By Dr Subhash C Kashyap with the support of Dr Akhil Gupta Nodal Officer DSW. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr Subhash C Kashyap NSS coordinator of Faculty of Agriculture SKUAST-Jammu
