Tomar sure that ryots’ dissent will die down

Satna, MP, Oct 23 : Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said on Saturday that many peasants’ organisations had ceased participating in the agitation against the three farm laws and he is confident that the handful that are still on the warpath would also desist.

During an interaction with the press here, Mr Tomar was asked whether the ryots’ ire would have an impact on the by-polls.

“The by-elections are no ‘semifinal’ for power. Besides, the responsibility for concluding the protest lies on the shoulders of those who are adamant about agitating. The Government is prepared for talks at all levels,” he emphasised.
