Total 116 polling centers to be arranged for Godavari districts teachers MLC elections: EG Collector

Kakinada, Feb 15 (UNI) East Godavari Collector D Muralidhara Reddy has said that a total of 116 polling stations were being arranged for conducting the ensuing Godavari districts teachers MLC elections.
Replying to the queries of the state chief electoral officer K Vijayanand who held a video conference from Velagapudi on Monday, the Collector said foolproof arrangements were being made for conducting the Godavari districts teachers MLC elections.
He said the training would be imparted to the polling personnel besides strict enforcement of model code of conduct.
The Collector further said that a special cell was opened in the Collectorate to ensure strict implementation of model code of conduct.
He said the security arrangements would be supervised by the SPs of both the districts ensuring peaceful polling.
The Collector attended the video conference from Rampachodavaram ITDA office while DRO Sathibabu, Mepma PD Sriramani attended from the Collectorate.
Superintendent of police Adnan Nayeem Asmi, special branch DSPs Ambika Prasad, Venkateswerarao, DISHA police station DSP Sunkara Muralimohan, SB Inspector Rajanikumar and DCRB Inspector YRK Srinivas attended the video conference from the district police office.
The Chief electoral officer made several suggestions to the collectors on the electoral rolls, claims disposal, identification of polling centres, deploying of polling personnel and movement of ballot boxes and election material.
