Transparent policies of education dept made Punjab leading state in country: Min

Hoshiarpur, Sep 5 : Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla on Sunday conferred various awards on 80 teachers/officials during the virtual cum offline state level Teacher Award Ceremony organized by the School Education Department, Punjab.
Out of these 80 teachers/officials, 36 upper primary teachers, 22 primary teachers were given state awards, 6 upper primary and 5 primary teachers were given youth teacher awards and 11 education officers were given administrative state awards.
Virtually addressing on the occasion State Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla said that Punjab had come first in the country due to the hard work of the officers and teachers of the education department. Congratulating teachers on this auspicious day, he said that Punjab is the only state in the country where transparent recruitment of teachers and officers, online teacher transfer policy and sports policy had been implemented. Due to the effective governance, government teachers had worked with more enthusiasm.

Education Secretary, Punjab, Krishan Kumar in his virtual welcome address congratulated all the teachers and elaborated on the achievements, priorities and activities of the department. He said that under the patronage of the Punjab government, the officers and teachers of the department would work hard to keep the school education of the state at the pinnacle.
Principal Secretary, Technical Education, Punjab Ramesh Kumar Ganta virtually congratulated Punjab on the progress made in the field of school education and wished them all the best for the future.
On the occasion, Jasman Singh, a lecturer from Hoshiarpur district, posted at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Hajipur, was honoured with a state award for his outstanding services in the department.
On this occasion Gursharan Singh District Education Officer, Secondary, Sanjeev Gautam, District Education Officer, Elementary and Samarjit Singh, District Media Coordinator, Hoshiarpur were present.
