Lucknow, Aug 14 : The state recorded 42 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, while 64 patients got healthy and discharged during the same period.
According to the latest status of Covid in the state, active cases are zero in 15 districts which includes Aligarh, Amethi, Ballia, Bahraich, Chitrakoot, Farrukhabad, Firozabad, Hardoi, Hathras, Kasganj, Kaushambi, Mahoba, Saharanpur, Shamli and Sonbhadra, informed state additional chief secretary information Navneet Sehgal here on Saturday.
At present, the number of active Covid cases in the state is 446, he said. In the last 24 hours, 2 ,38,218 Covid samples were examined and till now 6,88,62,712 Covid samples have been investigated.
In the testing done in the last 24 hours, not a single new case of infection was found in 49 districts, while single digit patients were found in only 26 districts, Mr Sehgel said.
So far, 16,85,689 people of the state have become healthy after getting free from corona infection.
The recovery rate of corona in the state is 98.6% and daily positivity rate was 0.01%.
More than 5,70,85,000 Covid vaccines have been administered in UP and yesterday 7,24,335 people got vaccine cover.
More than 4,81,47,000 people have taken at least one dose of covid. More than 89.37 lakh people have received both the doses of the vaccine.
