Urusha Rana becomes vice-president of UP Women’s’ Congress

Lucknow, Oct 22 (UNI) Urusha Rana, daughter of famous poet Munawwar Rana, has been made the Vice-President of Uttar Pradesh Womens’ Congress.

State Women’s’ Congress president Mamta Chaudhary handed over the nomination letter to Urusha on Wednesday. She had joined the party 10 years back and has been presenting the party’s side strongly in TV debates.

Ms Urusha expressed happiness after being nominated the vice-president and said that Congress is like a family for her.

She said that under the leadership of party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress has come out openly in UP and no other opposition party can be seen in front of it.

Ms Urusha had also led the ‘dharna’ near the Ghanta Ghar in state capital Lucknow against the CAA, last year in December.
