Yediyurappa appeals KSRTC workers to end protest

Belagavi, Apr 7 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddiyurappa on Wednesday appealed to the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) workers to withdraw their indefinite agitation as the state government has fulfilled eight of their nine demands.
Speaking to media here, he underlined that implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission is not possible. Eight per cent increase in wages will be given and a proposal to that effect also sent to the Election Commission as the election code is in force.
Mr Yediyurappa arrived here to campaign for BJP candidate Mangala Angadi who is contesting for the Apr 17 by-election.
