Yogi Adityanath to join Krishna Janam Utsav in Mathura tomorrow

Mathura, Aug 29 :The three-day Lord Krishna Janam Utsav festival program commenced here on Sunday at the Ramlila Maidan.

Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad CEO Nagendra Pratap said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will join the event on Monday.
The event is being organized by the Parishad, the state tourism department and the district administration.
Council’s vice-president Shailjakant Mishra said here on Sunday that, “Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will come to Mathura at 3.30 pm on Monday. He will go to Ramlila Maidan to inaugurate the Krishna festival.’
Former IPS officer, Mr Mishra said that the Chief Minister is scheduled to stay in Mathura for about 90 minutes. During this time, he will also visit Shri Krishna Janmasthan temple.
Although the old charm and beauty of the temples and markets has returned, but the celebration of Krishna Janma Utsav may not be on the expected grand scale as the government has issued instructions saying that night curfew should be implemented effectively due to COVID restrictions.
The birth anniversary of Lord Krishna is celebrated after twelve o’clock in the night. Night curfew comes into force from 10 o’clock in the night.
In such a situation, apart from Mathura, the celebration of birth is expected to be a low key affair in other temples of the state. There will be a ban on peoples activity and only priests will be able to celebrate Krishna’s birth anniversary in temples.
Night curfew is in place from 10 pm to 6 am, despite the removal of all restrictions, a restriction of the corona protocol still continues.
According to the rules, there is still night curfew in the entire state from 10 pm to 6 am. It is a different matter that it is not being followed. Now the government has given instructions to strictly follow it or face action.
