Interactive-cum-Lecture Session on “Mindfulness Techniques” under Nasha Mukti Abhiyaan

Under the dynamic leadership of Prof. B. N. Tripathi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukti Abhiyaan, the office of Dean Students’ Welfare, Dr. Sudhakar Dwivedi, in collaboration with Medical Officer, Dr. Anil Gupta and Dr. Komal Sharma, counsellor organized an interactive-cum-lecture session today to spread awareness on substance abuse and the role of mindfulness in leading a healthy and productive life. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and staff. Dr. Sudhakar Diwedi, Dean Students’ Welfare, highlighted the significance of youth engagement in building a drug-free campus and society. He motivated the participants to act as ambassadors of positive change and to stand united against the menace of addiction. Dr. Komal Sharma, Counsellor, Health Center, conducted an insightful lecture-cum-demonstration on mindfulness techniques such as focused breathing, self-awareness exercises and stress management practices. She emphasized how these simple yet powerful methods can help individuals regulate emotions, overcome negative habits, and build resilience against peer pressure and substance use. The interactive nature of the session encouraged open dialogue, with students sharing their concerns and learning practical coping mechanisms. The session concluded with a pledge to adopt healthy lifestyle practices and contribute towards the success of Nasha Mukti Abhiyaan. This initiative reinforced the institution’s commitment towards creating a safe, healthy, and drug-free environment, empowering students with the tools of mindfulness for holistic well-being.
