Covid-19 tally reaches 1,15,112 as 240 cases found on Thursday

Ranchi, Dec 31 (UNI) The Coronavirus tally in the state on Thursday reached to 1,15,113 as 240 cases of Covid-19 were detected across 19 districts of Jharkhand.
During the day 3 deaths were reported 1 from Ranchi, Bokaro and Khunti districts as a result of which the overall death count has reached to 1030. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.89 percent.
As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 1,659 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 1,12,424. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 1030.
On Thursday a maximum number of 110 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 31 in East Singhbhum, 26 in Dhanbad, 13 in Bokaro and 9 in Ramgarh.
A total of number of 218 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 103 from Ranchi, 30 from East Singhbhum, 16 from Bokaro, 12 from Dhanbad and 9 from Palamu.
Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 97 percent mark to currently stand at 97.66 percent in Jharkhand.
So far in the state 48,09,507 samples have been collected out of which 47,99,240 have been tested and 46,84,127 have turned out to be negative.
