- The air quality in Delhi deteriorated to the ‘severe’ category on Saturday morning with the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) at 451, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board.
- Parts of Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh could receive rainfall in next 48-72 hours, IMD predicted on Friday. Isolated pockets of UP and Rajasthan will experience cold wave to severe cold wave conditions within next 24 hours, it said.
- Farmers’ unions protesting at Delhi borders said on Friday that they will hold a tractor march on January 6 if repealing of the farm laws is not decided upon in the next round of meeting on January 4.
- Delhi-based Shakti Bhog Foods Limited, which sells packaged wheat flour and other items, was booked by CBI for allegedly cheating a consortium of 10 banks led by SBI of ₹3,269 crore. CBI booked MD Kewal Krishan Kumar and other Directors Siddharth Kumar and Sunanda Kumar.
- The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will on Saturday launch a housing scheme for the sale of 1,354 flats. Of the total number of flats, 230 are High-Income Group (HIG) category flats in Dwarka and Vasant Kunj, and 704 are Middle-Income Group (MIG) category flats in Jasola and Dwarka.
- Addressing the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) force at Joshimath border on New Year’s Eve, ITBP Director General SS Deswal said that the entire nation is grateful for their commitment and dedication towards duty.
