
New Delhi, A delegation from the People of India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PIOCCI) met with Ladakh’s Lieutenant Governor Shri Kavinder Gupta in the national capital to discuss prospects for boosting foreign investments and accelerating economic growth in the region.
Led by Secretary General Mr. Kirti Sharma and joined by Mr. Lalit Mahajan, the delegation shared PIOCCI’s ongoing efforts in building international business partnerships with the Indian diaspora. Their focus spans key sectors such as technology, green energy, education, healthcare, tourism, and agriculture. They also announced plans for a Global Investment Summit dedicated to Ladakh.
During the discussion, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized Ladakh’s untapped potential and investment-friendly climate. He pointed to areas like eco-tourism, solar energy, agro-industries, cultural handicrafts, and skill development as promising sectors for foreign and domestic investors.
He assured that the government is committed to creating an enabling business environment through streamlined policies, incentives, and modern infrastructure. Highlighting Ladakh’s strategic relevance, the LG invited Indian entrepreneurs and global investors to become partners in shaping Ladakh into a sustainable and innovative growth hub.
