Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 14 (UNI) Congress Kerala Mahila Morcha chief Lathika Subhash on Sunday resigned from the party and also got her head tonsured in protest against denial of ticket to contest from Ettumanoor Assembly seat.
In protest against the alleged poor representation of women in the Congress candidate list, Lathika Subhash staged the protest in front of the KPCC office, here this on Sunday evening.
She alleged that the winning probability and merit of the candidates were not the criteria for the distribution of tickets.
She staged the demonstration soon after the Congress party released its first list of 86 candidates for the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections.
