New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI) Congress General Secretary In-Charge of Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday said the family of the Hathras gangrape victim is demanding a judicial probe under supervision of the Supreme Court in the case .
In a post on Twitter after meeting with the family at Hathras, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, ‘the family of the victim has demanded that a judicial probe be ordered in the matter under the supervision of the Supreme Court. They have also demanded that the Hathras DM be suspended and should not be appointed on any big post.

They also questioned why the body of their daughter was set on fire with petrol without taking their consent. They also questioned as to why they were being threatened and misled repeatedly.

Getting answers to these questions is the right of the family and the Uttar Pradesh government will have to answer these questions.

‘Priyanka, along with her brother and former party chief Rahul Gandhi, visited the family at their home in Boolgarhi village on Saturday. The comments by Ms Vadra came, even as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recommended a CBI probe into the case.
