Rumors over Sonia Gandi resignation from Interim President of Congress are false, said Congress spokesperson

Randeep Surjewala, Congress spokesperson refuted the reports of resignation of Sonia Gandhi’s as party’s interim president post by terming them as ‘false’.

The party has backed Sonia Gandhi including Punjab CM Amarinder Singh, former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah to Ashok Gehlot, Rajasthan CM.

It is unfortunate that the leadership of Gandhi family is being questioned by a few people, Siddaramaiah said.

“It is unfortunate that the leadership of Gandhi family is being questioned by few. In these difficult times of undeclared emergency and attack on democracy by @BJP4India, we should collectively strive to strengthen @INCIndia & not weaken it,” tweeted Siddaramaiah.

Congress president of Karnataka DK Shivakumar also backed Sonia by saying that entire Congress in the state stands by the leadership of Sonia Gandhi and the Gandhi family.

DK Shivakumar told ANI that, “She has led Congress during times of crisis and saved our party. Anything that has to be discussed must be done so in the party forum and not in the media.”

Gehlot stated that the letter of 23 senior key Congress leaders is  unbelievable and  also added that if it’s true, then it is regrettable.
