Tripura LS MP demands national standard health and education infrastructure

The Loksabha MP from Tripura Pratima Bhowmik while addressing the ongoing budget session of Parliament sought the attention of the central government for setting up separate universities for agriculture and women development along with AIIMS like hospital.
Demanding additional allocation for the Northeast especially for Tripura she said that Prime Minister has already recognised the region as the growth engine of the country and there have been initiatives for scaling up the development based on the available natural and human resources.
“The Prime Minister has been leading the way in implementing the Act East policy”, Bhowmik pointed out adding that PM had inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of Rs 3,500 Cr projects in Tripura only last week to mark the 3rd anniversary of the BJP-IPFT government in the state.
Bhowmik also mocked the communist leaders, saying that they were criticizing the central and state governments in the lockdown and now secretly taking the Covid-19 vaccine, while misleading others to not take the doses.
Besides, health and higher education, she urged the central government to a sanctioned special project for the development of international heritage site Unokoti in North Tripura and the re-launching of NERAMC.
