Under the leadership of Prof. B. N. Tripathi, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of SKUAST-Jammu, and the guidance of Prof. Sudhakar Dwivedi, Dean Students’ Welfare, 45 students from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-Jammu) participated in the 3rd Chancellor’s Trophy 2026. The event was held at the University of Jammu from 15th to 19th January 2026.
The SKUAST-Jammu contingent showcased strong sportsmanship across multiple disciplines. The team comprised 15 male football players, 10 male kabaddi players, 3 female badminton players, 3 male table tennis players, 5 male athletes, and 9 male basketball players. All participants were under the overall supervision of Dean Students’ Welfare, Prof. Sudhakar Dwivedi, who provided continuous support throughout the tournament.
Physical instructors Mr. Neeraj Gupta and Mr. Kuldeep Manhas accompanied the team and served as official trainers, motivating students and helping them perform their best. The university celebrated outstanding performances in athletics, where Shivyankar won a bronze medal in the 100-meter race, and Vansh Tripathi secured a silver medal in the 400-meter race. These achievements brought pride to the institution.
Prof. B. N. Tripathi congratulated all participants and medal winners, emphasizing that the university values sports as much as academics for the holistic development of students. Prof. Sudhakar Dwivedi also praised the students and staff, highlighting that such events instill discipline, leadership, and teamwork among youth.
