SKUAST-Jammu Organizes Tiranga Rally to Celebrate the Spirit of Independence


Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu today organized a spirited Tiranga Rally on its Chatha campus to commemorate the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and promote the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
The rally was led by Prof. B. N. Tripathi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor who proudly carried the National Flag symbolizing unity, pride and patriotism. All statutory officers, faculty members, non-teaching staff and university employees enthusiastically joined the march creating a vibrant sea of tricolour across the campus.
Prof. Tripathi highlighted the importance of the National Flag as a unifying symbol of India’s sovereignty and shared values. “The Tiranga is not just a flag; it embodies our freedom, sacrifices and aspirations. It is the duty of every citizen to uphold its honour,” he said.
The rally began from the Faculty of Agriculture and proceeded through the main avenues of the campus resonating with patriotic slogans. The event fostered a spirit of togetherness, reminding all participants of the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters for the nation’s independence.
The Tiranga Rally at SKUAST-Jammu organized by Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Sudhakar Dwivedi served as a reminder that patriotism is best expressed not just in words but through collective action and dedication to the nation’s progress.
