Covid-19: Maha Govt announces strict policy regarding vaccination

Aurangabad / Mumbai, Nov 27 : Taking a serious view of many people are still being negligent and have not been vaccinated against novel coronavirus despite vaccination programme having gained momentum in the state, the Maharashtra government on Saturday announced a strict policy regarding vaccination. In an official notification, state chief secretary Sitaram Kunte stated that,the state government has now taken a tough stance on the negligent attitude of people and it has now increased the amount of fines.

Marathwada registers 56 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths

Aurangabad, Oct 19 : Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 56 new cases of COVID-19 and 2 deaths were reported during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed on Tuesday. Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI showed that out of the eight districts of the region, Beed reported 10 new cases and single death followed by Latur with 6 cases and single death, Osmanabad with 17 cases, Aurangabad with nine cases, Nanded and Jalna 5 cases each , Parbhani registered 4 cases and Hingoli nil, they added.

Discharge of flooded water from Jayakwadi dam in Maharashtra continues

Aurangabad, Oct 12 (UNI) Discharge of flooded water from Jayakwadi dam in Maharashtra by 9,432 cuses per second continued for 14th consecutive day into downstream, authorities said on Tuesday. According to them, all the 18 gates’ water level has been reduced from 1 feet to half feet and discharge of 9,432 cuses per second continues. The water has been discharging from the dam since September 29. Presently, the dam maintains 98.51 percent stock with a height of 1521.73 feet and 463.823 in meters, they stated.

Aurangabad/Mumbai, May 16 (UNI) Maharashtra Water Resources Minister and NCP state chief Jayant Patil on Sunday said that his party will stage a statewide protest against the central government for increasing prices of fertilizers after a recent hike in fuel prices. Mr Patil stated, “After petrol prices crossing Rs 100 per litre, the Center is now increasing the prices of fertilizers. After the petrol-diesel price hike, now the central government has given another push.”

Covid-19: Marathwada registers 4,889 more cases, 104 fatalities

Aurangabad, May 11 (UNI) Marathwada region in Maharashtra recorded 4,889 more cases of Covid-19 and 104 fatalities during the past 24 hours, informed health authorities. Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI show that out of the eight districts of the region, Aurangabad district was the worst-affected as it recorded 655 new cases and 24 deaths, followed by Latur which had 696 cases and 18 deaths, Beed had 1295 cases and 15 deaths, Osmanabad had 833 new cases and 14 deaths, Nanded recorded 294 cases and 12 deaths, Jalna had 697 cases and eight deaths, Parbhani registered 374 cases and eight deaths and Hingoli 45 cases and five deaths.

Aurangabad, May 9 (UNI) Covid situation continues to remain grim in the eight districts of the Marathwada region in Maharashtra as the region recorded the highest spike of 5,526 Covid positive cases and 116 fatalities in the past 24 hours, according to the health authorities. Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI show that out of the eight districts of the region,Latur district was the worst-affected as it recorded 1102 cases and 27 deaths, followed by Aurangabad had 774 cases 24 deaths,Beed had 1339 cases and 18 deaths, Nanded with 497 new cases and 13 deaths,Osmanabad 629 cases and 11 deaths, Parbhani had 436 cases and 9 deaths, Jalna registered 584cases and 9 deaths and Hingoli 165 cases and 5 deaths.

Mah: Sikh community stages dharna in support of farmers protest

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Dec 27 (UNI) A group of Sikh community members on Saturday staged a dharna at Guru Govindsingh Chowk in front of Osmanpura gurudwara here in solidarity with the farmers, who are protesting at Delhi borders against the three newly-enacted agri reform laws.
